Replacing an old gas pipe

I seem to have discovered I have the lovely green gas pipe that corrodes very easily. The previous homeowner installed it probably 10 years ago. The line hd a leak in it and I could tell from my gas bill and lack of power from my fire pit and bbq. I need to replace this section of the line. Unfortunately I can’t replace all the line cause it’s under concrete and pavers.

How can I remove this section and replace it?

you would be wise to change out the whole line because the last guy must have used
something not legal for gas installs...

Yeah you can't just replace what you have pictured. There is nothing good enough to hook onto.

Maybe better off abandoning it and finding a new route from the meter. Use yellow hdpe underground and iron pipe above.

Unfortunately I can’t replace all the line cause it’s under concrete and pavers.

Use the same trenchless technology used to replace water lines. It uses a cable fished through the existing pipe to pull a cutter that splits the old pipe to make room for the new pipe.

That was a "legal" gas pipe, but that material was VERY prone for corrosion. I would not trust any portion of it once a section started leaking.
