I have a 3/4" stub out on the side of my house for a future fire pit. Pulled a permit to run an underground (yellow poly) line out to the patio. Planning on 30' of buried piping with risers on either end. I'm planning to build a black iron swing joint (in case of ground settling) to connect the stub out on side of house to the Riser leading to the underground poly line. My understanding of code is that I can't pressure test the system with only one valve serving as a bulkhead between the live gas lines in the house and the new section of outdoor piping I want to add. Should I build a double block and bleed valve so I can test the black iron section between the existing valve and the new riser or will the inspector just want to see a pressure test on the portion of new line spanning from Riser to Riser? Thanks in advance.

black malleable is not code outside.
you really want to ask your inspector what they want (hundreds of similar situations). normally we just put a lever handle ball valve at the house and never any swing joints anywhere, ever. Then put pressure test at the far distant end.

Hey, wait a minute.
