New member here. I know HVAC, but nothing about plumbing.
Here's my problem: I own a '98 double wide. Nothing has been done to the plumbing since I bought the house. The washer we've had for 3 years has always drained fine, but made the sink make a horrible gurgling noise . The other day, while my wife was washing clothes, the washer drained and water came up through the drain pipe. We have an access panel there. ie: a hole in the wall. From what I can tell, it has an AAV on it. Not hooked up to a vent to the roof . My question is, since the sink drains fine, does this automatically mean my AAV is bad?

AAV's don't last forever. It would be a good thing to check. My parents double wide on the farm in Mattawa had a failed AAV in their Master bath. It was a cheap cheater vent that was allowing fumes from the septic inside.

Thanks. I'll replace it and go from there.

Update:

Replaced the 2 cheater vents on the line. One below the sink in the kitchen and the one at the washer. Same result. I'm at a loss here as of what to do. Could it be a clog? Sink doesn't back up so I ruled that out from the get go. Again, the line is not vented to the roof, but through 2 studor vents.

You have a partial blockage in the drain, you need a Plumber/Drainman to power snake the drain
and then every thing will be as good as new for a few more years,
PLEASE DO NOT USE DRAIN CHEMICALS IN THIS LINE !
