Hi all,
I need help fixing my running toilet. Every few minutes it will run. I don't know anything about plumbing but I am hoping to be able to save some money and fix this myself.
I have a Kohler. I can't read the markings inside of the tank saying the model number. It seems like they were not stamped correctly. Can anyone help me figure out the model number or perhaps the part I would need for the seal from my picture?
I've also included a picture of the canister valve. It seems like there is sealant material (or something) spread a bit around the canister and some is also inside of it. Could this cause the poor seal that makes my toilet run?
I had the toilet professionally repaired not too long ago, and I suppose I should have been more insistent that they come back and fix it better when I realized they did a poor repair job.

I hope the pictures work.
Thank you for any help.
