Sylvan Still learning Messages 2,769 Reaction score 698 Points 113 Location New York Oct 18, 2018 #3 Yellow brass had the same OD as any schedule 40, 80 or 120 pipe Yellow brass is 60% copper and 40% zinc as opposed to Red brass 85% copper 15% zinc the wall thickness is the same for schedule 40 pipe (IPS) Also TP copper has the same outside wall size as IPS

IF not, it either won't fit in, or the O-ring won't be able to seal. YOu may need to remove the internal stiffener there for when using pex.
