Hello. I've done my due diligence and am looking for suggestions/input on replacing outdoor spigot (attached images) & what type of water line is running to it (no PEX A or B label is visible and line is transluscent). I'm not a plumber so consider my experience level with this project a zero out of 5.

Some other notes:

REPLACEMENT SILLCOCK (listed in order of preference, open to advice, suggestions, warnings, etc.)
- OPTION 1: Aquor V1+ 8" hydrant
- OPTION 2: Woodford Model 17 8-in L x 1/2-in Copper Sweat Brass Anti-siphon Push/Pull Sillcock
- OPTION 3: Prier Products Diamond 8-in L x 1/2-in MIP Brass Anti-siphon Half Turn Sillcock
- No Sharkbite products
- I want to use expansion option (if this is PEX A only) or clamp, not crimp
- preference for adapter is poly plastic but water flow will be restricted so am planning on using C69300 brass alloy/eco to minimize/prevent zinc decalcification (current condition in pics)

CURRENT SETUP
- estimated 4-6" valve stem (replacement will be 8")
- visible labeling shows PSI 200degF, Potable Tubing, (install date), M 29, ICBO ES ER-5200
- install date says 03:02:98 with ICBO/Intl Conf of Bdg Officials (now ICC)
- crimped

Thank you for any thoughts and links to useful info.

Chris

Do you need frost free? I would replace with a similar type. Unthread old thread on new. Aquor will be difficult on brick as it has unique rough opening requirements. I don't know that I've ever seen clear/translucent type B. If you can find any ASTM F**** numbers that will tell you what fittings are approved. Expansion or crimp is better than clamp.

Thanks for feedback, GR. Yes, I prefer expansion so hoping I have pex A.

I didn't know about Frost free so need to look at those options.

Wasn't aware Aquor in brick has issues so thank you for mentioning.

Probably and sweat valve you have can try to unscrew it but it will take someone in basement a hold back. But a longer valve then you won't need any extra tubing. Hole in the brick and rim joist will need to be enlarged. Long cold chisel
They also make a oversize plate for mounting faucet.

Nice, looks good. I'm highly considering these when I replace mine.
Thanks GR. I bought some parts from Aquor's Amazon store and some from Aquor's website based on price comparisons. It cost around $265 for 2 hydrants, 2 pex inlets, 2 ss mounting plates, & 2 extra water breakers that have shutoffs (the hydrants include breakers without shutoffs that attach to hoses), and around $75 for tools (iCrimp combo with pex cutter & ss rings; 1.5" diamond drill bit & 3/18" (I think) for the screws; and concrete screws).

Get a woodford 18" shaft with a vacuum breaker, pex-ready. pull the old one out, use one 1/2" crimp ring to install the new hose bibb. The whole job will take you a half hour or less.

Buy yourself a cheap iCrimp kit.
