Hello all, new user here.
I recently bought a condo that has a large space the tiles don't cover in the master bath, and the current toilet doesn't cover this footprint. The hole is roughly 9" by 19" and the photos below should show more specific dimensions.
I have two questions:
1) How much cost and hassle would it be to repair the tiles and make the hole smaller? We have 16 spare tiles. I'm thinking it would be less cost and hassle to just get a nice new toilet that covers this footprint properly, but I'd love second opinions.
2) I'm considering the Carlyle II and the Guinevere. I like the Carlyle's looks better, but after doing some geometry I'm pretty sure two corners of the hole would still be peeking out under the front of it. Could those corners be filled in with caulk? Or is it way better to get the Guinevere and be sure of covering the entire hole?
Thanks much! If anyone knows other Toto toilets that cover large footprints, I'm interested in hearing about those too.
