I'm working on my first toilet install, and--of course--things haven't gone perfectly.

So, when installing the flange (and learning through trial and error the best way to screw in Tapcons), two Tapcons at the front of the flange broke off in their holes.

Which brings me to my question: Am I okay with proceeding even though there will be two missing bolts? OR should I drill a new hole in the front of the flange and drive another Tapcon there?

Thanks for your help. It's my first post, but I've been visiting for the past couple years.

I like to at least see a screw on both sides of the closet bolts. You can use a flat washer under a screw head and use the slot that is there too.
