Remodeling laundry room and want to change to 2in downpipe for washing machine. The current downpipe is 1.5inch (galvanized?) that connects to either 1.5 or 2 inch branch stack.

Is the branch stack 1.5 or 2 in iron pipe?
Im a bit confused as the downpipe and ptrap is 1.5 and the pipe into the hub is 1.5.

Would 2in pvc fit into this hub with a fernco doughnut?

See picture ( I keep getting errors uploading pictures)

Outer diameter of pipe is 2.5 (including paint)
Inside diameter of bell hub is close to 3in
Stamp on pipe reads EXH
