PICK UP STIX, A tool for moving and picking up toilets

A new tool on the van that I'm trying out. It's supposed to allow you to pick up a toilet using one hand, by inserting the tool into the bowl, adjusting the length of it and then tightening the extension under the lip of the bowl. With one hand you can lift the toilet in a fairly balanced way.

I was using the tool here. I lifted the toilet, the tool slipped out of the bowl and the toilet dropped back onto the floor.
I was tossing this toilet, so it didn't matter that the bowl broke and took the shock of hitting the floor.
I was glad the bowl took the hit, as it was a nice tile floor. Better the bowl than the floor that's staying.

In one of the videos promoting the tool, it's important that the solid end of the tool is carrying the weight. It hangs on that end, not the end that moves inward.

Heh, too bad for that toilet, but confirms a worst fear — to say nothing of how well it would “caress” the cefiontect glaze! But a novel alternative, for sure.

The tool works by fitting under the rim, and not by applying friction to a surface.
