After further review of posts, I'm going to forego installing arrestors. Seems like they are normally just needed for washers and dishwashers. I'm working on a bathroom, so I wait to see if water hammer is a problem before I buy arrestors.

I was hoping to get some 1/2 PEX hammer arresters similar to these locally today/tomorrow:

...but the big box stores seem to be limited to just those for copper lines or for a washer hookup. Anyone know of a place in Seattle/Renton/Tacoma where I can buy them or is this an online only type of item.

I didn't think you need hammer arresters with PEX. At least that's what I was told.
PEX is flexible enough to move around a bit in the wall without creating the hammer effect. It's the rigid copper that bangs around and makes noise.

I'm not a plumber - so I'll wait to see what the experts say.

Washers, dishwashers and icemakers to name a few.
These all are quick closing valves. I install hammer arrestors with PEX.
Keller Supply would have arrrestors like that.
