I found a hammer arrestor to connect under the sink directly to the stop riser.
https://www.supplyhouse.com/Sioux-C...er-Arrestor-Straight-1-2-MIP-Thread-Lead-Free

However, the 1/2 hammer arrestor would need to connect to some type of T with a 1/2" female for the arrestor
and the the last two sides would need to be 3/8" male and female, one to connect to the riser and one for the feed line.
I suppose it would be something like this?

But then there is no 1/2" port for the Arrestor?

So then I would need an out of stock adaptor

Can anyone help simplify this connection.
I found this: but it looks like it has two females sides?

Here is a photo of someone doing it with out adaptors, just one compression T.

Anyone know have a link to share for a T that would work?

Most people have a 3/8 compression connection on the input to the supply line to the dishwasher. But not you.

You could put the water hammer arrestor on the dishwasher end. It is going to be more effective that way, if you can make the connection. The Sioux Chief 660-H and 660-HB are made for that.

This one fits on the shutoff and takes a supply line for a lav. The dishwasher stop is normally withing 10" of the sink hot. Close enough.

Sorry for any confusion. I think you may be confused thinking of a 1/2" arrestor using 3/8" Tee as not being 3/8"?
The size of the arrestor in this case is not the same size as the shutoff. So I do have 3/8" and all the links and description is for 3"8. The tricky part is connecting a 1/2" Arrestor. Thanks, hope that help clear that up.

Hi Terry, I think this is the same one I linked to in my post.
From the picture both sides look female. However, would I just remove that nut and then it becomes a male? I think the photo threw me off as I need one side to be male and one side to be female.
