I have a stand alone tub and looking at installing an in-wall Kohler Purist tub faucet in the handle, spout, handle that is aligned horizontally. Unfortunately, Kohler tells me that the supporting valve does not allow the handles and valves to be installed aligned (spout has to be above or below the handles) which sounds odd to me. Are there alternative value setups for this? I'd image what I am asking to do is pretty common IMHO. The second pic is what I'm trying to do (note the comments of others asking to do the same thing) https://www.faucetdirect.com/kohler...k-or-wall-mounted-tub-filler/p4118252#q-and-a
Also, pg 7 is the valve that is suggested to use - https://www.us.kohler.com/webassets/kpna/catalog/pdf/en/1205552_2.pdf
Is there another valve, possibly from another brand that anyone knows of to solve for this? Note, I'm looking at having this valve fit within 2x4 studs.
