Upon even the gentlest of flushes, the canister valve on a Kohler toilet that came with our house when we bought unseats itself. Consistently. How do I fix this?

Sometimes the canister catches on the fill tube if it's too close. I've installed a longer fill tube if that's the case. Any tube from a Fluidmaster fill valve will work.

Would that pull the whole assembly out? Even the anchor comes out...
