K-3402, Water still leaks after replacing flapper.

I have a Kohler K-3402-PB low profile one piece toilet. I have replaced the flapper with the correct one from Korky. The plastic flush valve is in good condition without any damage and the opening has been cleaned where it comes in contact with the flapper. Water still leaks after replacing the flapper. Water stops leaking when I press down on flapper.

The toilet was manufactured in 1992 and has the original flush valve not the replacement that has the larger overflow tube.

I take it that you have this flapper then.

You might try soaking it in warm water and reinstalling it.
