We are in the process of replacing all our old (70's) toilets with new Toto Drake ADA elongated toilets. The installation of the base has gone smoothly but when it comes time to install the tank to the base we've been struggling. The instructions state the tank needs to be resting on 3 points for proper installation. However, as we tighten the bolts the back has a tendency to touch first and then the front can't be brought down enough. We've tried holding it forward while tightening but as soon as we let go it settles back and we don't want to risk over-tightening and breaking the tank (already did that once, thank god for a very understanding supplier). Any tips on how to get these things installed correctly?
