I am remodeling my basement and would like to plumb the waste pipes up into the floor joist to give more head room. I have two instances where they plumbed to vertical to horizontal transition using tees. Because of limited vertical space, to get the proper pitch, I am going to need to use a Wye to connect the two toilets to the main drain.

My question is, do I use a standard 3" 90 or long sweep coming from the horizontal toilet drain to connect with the Wye on the main horizontal drain pipe? Does a long sweep speed things up so that the solids are left behind?

These drains are only carrying from toilet to main drain line. Also there is no vent and one will be added on both.

Thanks

Horizontal to vertical dropping down, a medium 90 is fine.
Horizontal to horizontal, a long sweep 90, wye or combo.
A vertical drops into a wye or combo. In this case, maybe a wye with medium 90 or medium S90 to get over the heating duct.
