I am remodeling my kitchen. Moving my kitchen sink from an interior wall to the exterior cinderblock wall underneath a 7' long window. The basement underneath is finished.
I want to plumb the sink centered under the window and I am unable to run a vent up the cinderblock wall. I also cannot run plumbing inside the wall. Or below into the basement.
Will this work as a proper drain for the sink and also as a wet vent: There's an existing horizontal 2 inch waste line underneath the floor closer to the window. I want to tie into that horizontal drain with a 2" wye and a long 90 going up. A 2" pipe will then go vertical into the joist bay and then a long 90 sweep will turn the vent horizontal. I'll drill holes through about 6 joists centered and pitching 1/4" down towards the drain, up towards the sink. I'll then long 90 sweep joint up through the floor to where the kitchen sink cabinet will be. Then long 90 sweep to a 1-1/2" reducer fitting. Then we will connect the p-trap.
This is the key question if this will work: from the p trap in the kitchen in the cabinet to the final 2" wye in the floor connecting to the horizontal drain will be a total of 8 feet of 2" pipe. Pitched at 1/4 inch when necessary. Will this work as a wet vent? The pipes would work as a vent? My county in Alexandria City Virginia goes by IPC code.
Pictures for guidance. Thank you so much if you've taken time to consider my question. I am very grateful.
