This forum was a great help when I installed this unit 6-7 years. During one of the cycles the water shuts off (or turns on) so abruptly it causes a significant water hammering sound. As loud as somebody striking a joist hard with a hammer. I've had no other water hammering in the house over this time period.. only when this unit refreshes. I'm worried it will work a pipe lose or break open a joint (copper plumbing) . My question is whether there is anything on the value I can adjust to eliminate or minimize this? I'm surprised it would be engineered in a way that the shut off (or on) happens to quickly vs more gradual. If this valve is known for this... or I can't adjust it... what valve is recommended these days for home installer head replacements? Thank you!
