Extension Tube for Kitchen sink P Trap

I hope this is an easy one, but wanted to check. The kitchen sink p trap will be a few inches short of making it to the drain and tailpiece. Is it fine to use the extension slip joint tube (shown below) from the wall then use the trap arm and p trap as shown? Thank you!

Yes. You can probably get matching colors, or you can use a brass extension. You can cut things to length.

Thanks, yeah, I'll probably just swap out for pvc so everything matches except the trap adapter from the wall will be abs. I'll also need an extension down from the chrome tailpiece, which I'll also do with pvc. Thank you!
