Hello, I’m working on a back to back toilet install where I don’t have room to wye in two separate places, which sounds like the preferred method. I’m having trouble identifying a double fixture fitting since on the big box website it says “Double Fixture Sanitary Tee”. Is this the right type of fitting to use or do I need to go to a plumbing supply store for a different fitting?

Thank you! Allison

With the new toilets you're better off with a double wye. The fitting you show will allow the water to skip over and push water from the opposite bowl. After a few times, there barely any water left in the bowl.

This picture doesn't show the double fixture fitting, but does show the double wye. Unless you have the "wye" fitting, you're going to be losing water in the bowls.

The double combo, recommended by TOTO, is not "technically" approved for back to back fixtures, but will work, if approved by an inspector, for toilets ONLY.
