That diagram helps quite a bit. I think I'm finally understanding. It looks like one of these would be sufficient:

If so, I'll likely just ask Plumber #1 to install if I source the part. I'm hoping he will include this for the $550 price, but if not I can't imagine it would take more than 10-15 mins to install.

I've attached a pic of the whole room. I was told that the PVC pipe running along the base of the wall is the drainage.

Geez - I was completely wrong about Company #2 using Clack units. I called back and was corrected. I could have sworn they said Clack, its a bit weird.

They are the local dealers for a company called Evolve, and the 2 models offered are the EVS and the ES. Reach4, sorry for the confusion, you mentioned you had never heard of these "Clack" models and this is why.

The company has a nice website but I haven't heard any real world reviews. Here it is:
