All of my faucets now knock, but in a strange way. Instead of knocking when the water is turned off, they knock when the water is turned on (about 3 seconds later). The knock seems to be coming from about 3-4 ft from the tap in each case, but I can't pinpoint it further. The knock is not related to the pump cycling or to the water pressure (system is set for 40/60 and that is what it's performing at). After a given faucet knocks once, you can't make it repeat. Knocks for faucets, toilets, washing, machine. I would install a knock arrestor, if I knew where to put it Any advice would be appreciated.

Same for hot and cold?

Does it occur for toilet flushes?
