Hi,
I am planning to add a second floor to a ranch house.
In basement under the kitchen is this waste pipe, 2 inch from sync and connects to what appears to be a 4 or inch floor cast iron pipe.
Thinking to position a bathroom at the second floor over the kitchen and run a 4 inch drain from attic to basement.
Is this ok? Can this pipe accept a waste pipe from bathroom at 2nd floor and kitchen at first floor?

How to connect PVC to cast iron?

Thanks

It is easy to burn out the lead from the 4" hub and pack oakum 1" from the top of the hub and pour 4 LBS of molten lead (1 pound per inch)

Place small No hub cast iron pipe in the hub after removing the old lead and reducer and then install a clean at the base which the original installer forgot to do.

A cleanout is required every 100 feet, every change of direction greater than 45 deg and at the base of each soil, waste or leader line stack
