Hello,
This is my first post. I installed a Toto Drake in my son’s bathroom earlier this year. So far I love it. Strong quiet flush and refills fast. I have a question about the Cefiontect glaze. I know I’m not supposed to use bleach based products. In the past I would have just used those Clorox toilet bowl wands. So for this toilet I’ve just been using soft Johnny mops and Dawn dish detergent to clean the toilet. I noticed today there is a faint darker line where the bowl water level is. Dawn isn’t removing it. Is there something else I can use to remove it? I thought this Cefiontect glaze was supposed to prevent this stuff? Thanks.

I installed a Toto Drake this past winter, and had the same question. So I called Toto and asked them. They said any commercial toilet bowl product, with or without bleach, is fine. So I use Clorox toilet bowl cleaner and cleaning spray, with no problems.

What I gather you should not do (and I have known of people who do this) is pour a half-gallon of bleach in the bowl and let it sit overnight.

Well water or city water? It is possible to get some deposits that regular cleaners are not going to remove. Sorry.

Despite the worry about damaging the surface, some rings require pumice, such as Pummie brand.
