Fill valves are never an issue for me, they are about as easy to replace as anything in a toilet. Even a newbie like me can do it.

Fast forward to today when I came across this specific fill valve. I can not identify it, and I cannot replace it.

What is it? It says Tangshan Huida Anti Siphon on it

Is there some reason a Fluidmaster wouldn't work there?

No reason I can think of, the shank washer area seems to be smaller than usual.

I tried the DANCO Hydroclean Universal Ballcock Fill Valve on it, but the water started spraying from the bottom and making a mess. The home owner was unhappy with me and I felt like I was forcing it to work when it wasn’t budging.

I will try the fluidmaster instead, that seems to be the best option for these smaller toilets. My only issue is what I should do if that doesn’t work, should I try to hunt for brands that have a smaller shank washer (bottom part of the fill valve)?
