Window Well Drainage Problem - HELP!
Any suggestions for a good outdoor sump pump system to drain a window well? I have below grade basement window system (Scapewell) installed.
The well area fills with water and floods the basement during heavy rains / spring thaws. I have tried some regrading and storm water diversion to no avail.
The well is about 6 feet deep, then is covered in 2 feet of washed stone. Consdering Little Giant pumps (specifically Little Giant WCR-9SP) since it comes pre-installed with a sump. A friend said get a 5 gal. bucket and drill holes, load the sump pump in, dig it down 3' (frost line) in the well, and I'm set. But I want to do this right. Any thoughts?
Thanks.
