I like the finished look of the Propex escutcheon out-of-the-wall support, but what is the process for replacing a bad valve? Do those plastic bend supports let you yank out enough PEX get the escutcheon off and cut the ring?

I doubt it. When going back to repair PEX, I too have to cut back and find some clean unused pipe to expand to. At least when you have a copper stubout you can use a sleeve puller and replace a compression stop.
