Installed the above Moen single handle kitchen faucet some six months ago, works fine.
Recently have noticed a loose handle and it makes a noise when you turn it on or off. I tightened the set screw, which did not solve the problem. I then took the handle completely off and made sure that the nut that holds the cartridge in was tight and it was. However, when you grab the stem of the cartridge without the handle on it the rattling is re-created.
It seems a little early for some type of cartridge failure. But with the nut tightened it seems like the cartridge is rattling inside the faucet body and is creating the noise all of a sudden.
It’s not the handle that’s making the noise. Any ideas guys?
