Moen single handle kitchen faucet shutoff position

Hi. I have a Moen single handle kitchen faucet in my rental townhouse. When the handle is returned to the center postiion, the faucet leaks. I takes some finesse to find the sweet spot where the faucet does not leak. Is this an simple cartridge replacement or is something else going on? Thanks in advance for your help. Marc.

I should have said drips from the spout instead of leaks.
