In my area, the plumbing rough-in is the plumbing work that's done before the slab is poured. We're slab on grade.
In putting an additional bathroom on a house, I will be running a PVC DWV line through the slab, out to the yard, and tying it into the home's existing DWV line upstream of the existing sewer tap. Just outside the exterior wall, I will add a cleanout for the new DWV line. After a few bends and such through the yard, the new DWV line will connect to the existing DWV line.
My inspector does a pressure test using an 8 ft water column.
My question: For inspection, can I place the inflatable plug for the pressure test in the new cleanout (which would test only the new fittings for the bathroom; and not the other fittings in the yard that eventually join the new DWV to the existing DWV) OR should I add a tee close to the connection to the existing DWV trunk so that I can test more of the new fittings in the yard OR should I put it somewhere else?
