So I’m just starting our plumbing for our whole home remodel. We have removed all previous plumbing, cut slab for new plumbing, trenched and are now in the midst of laying the new lines. For reference I’m in Michigan and are under the IPC 2015.

Wondering how the layout currently looks and if you might make any suggestions or comments.

Top left is a laundry sink. 1st floor bath, shower and vanity will also tie in here. Right side will be laundry washing machine.

Top is where I will tie into existng 4" cast iron that goes to septic. My understanding is a 4" shielded Fernco will do the trick.

This is the one I'm a bit unsure of. Bottom right is shower p-trap. This runs above the 3" toilet run and ties into the 2" vanity on the middle left. This then ties into the 3" toilet run. So the shower is wet vented from the vanity which will have a vertical vent going through 1st floor and through roof. The toilet is again wet vented from the vanity on the left.

One other question....when I have my rough in inspection I'm guessing we will need to do a leak test. My understanding is I can say for instance add a 10' 2" pipe to the sher p-trap- in the previous photo and we will then fill it to the top. Can I just put a plug where I tie into the existng 4
" cast iron? I would then need to put in a floor cleanout in the garage. Is there any other way to plug the system.

Thanks for any input.
