Does anyone have recommendations on the best way to connect PEX-B (uses copper rings) to Uponor PEX-A (expansion fittings)?

The house I’m in has the main line using Pex-B and copper ring fittings.

I’m splicing into it to install a soft water loop.

I have the tools and some experience to install Uponor with PEX-A. But I can’t seem to find a 1” adapter fitting that lets me connect PEX-A with a copper ring on one end and Uponor expansion fitting using PEX-B on the other end.

Any suggestions?

Ok. Just crimp both sides. Makes sense. Probably why they don’t make that adapter I was looking for. It’s that simple.

Thanks guys!

Or crimp the PEX-B side and expansion fit the PEX-A side. but the coupler has to be PEX-A compliant. Crimping will work with PEX-A fittings but expansion fitting will not work with PEX-B fitting.

Crimping will work with Pex-A fittings but expansion fitting will not work with Pex-b fitting.
You might work on your wording.

https://www.pexuniverse.com/types-of-pex-fittings describes it well.

https://www.siouxchief.com/docs/def...other/supply/tech-bulletin---pex-b-with-f1960 says they are now certifying their PEX-B for use with F1960 expansion fittings IF you use a power tool.

... and catch this. https://www.siouxchief.com/fitting-freedom shows

See that fitting next to the white expansion ring on the right? Is that an adapter fitting with F1960 on one side and F1807 on the right?
