I am trying to remove this old tub drain and it is very stuck.... I have already tried using a drain removal tool with a pipe wrench for torque and a heat gun around the inside and edges and it broke a prong off the removal tool and the drain didn't even budge... Not sure what to do from here.

I have resorted to peeling up the flanged sides and grabbing them with channel locks.

It helps to try different drain tools also. Some work better than others in different situations.

You could also gently cut it out, but that gets dangerous if your not prepared to replace the whole drain assembly.

I made my own tool cut notches in the end of a pipe. some times I cut a notch on the inside and beat on a chisel to loosten. Or make a series of cuts around it on the inside (carefuly) it can go wrong. the amount of care is determined by how hard it is to access to change entire waste and overflow
