I received some crappy pics taken at a 60 miles away rental property with specific instructions from my best friend of over 40 years.
He said..."Hey Mr. I can fix anything! Here's how some scumbag p.o.s. former renters left the shower at my property out in the sticks. It'd be great if you can take care of this for me sometime soon without all the usual sh*t talk that you call a sense of humor. I'm feeling kinda sensitive today and don't know if I can handle it. I just snapped the pics and left so don't even bother asking anything.
To which I replied...It comes as no surprise that the "scumbag" renters did that. Jeez...who likes being referred to as a scumbag? The pics show exactly how much of a ungrateful p.o.s landlord you are. Did you thank them or show them any type of appreciation for capping the supply lines that they cut? Of course you didn't because you don't appreciate a damn thing that anyone does or has ever done for you. You won't even appreciate when I text your wife later and ask for the lockbox code so I can fix all the damage that I know you're trying to hide from her. Secrets end marriages my friend. I do this because I care. And I hope she breaks your nose again. I'll be out there on Wednesday though buddy."

Does anyone have any parts #'s, parts list recommendations or kit suggestions? I want to be sure to have anything and everything that I may need in order to not have to make 2 trips.
Any and all input would be greatly appreciated by me,but not by my friend...unless it's his new leaf day.

What you have is pretty wacked. The cold supply on the right was cut too short for a coupling. I suppose you could heat the fitting and replace it though if you intended to keep the valve in the wall. Normally this is a good time to replace it with a new valve body, something like the Moen Posi-Temp which offers balancing to prevent shocks while in the shower.

"Hey, who just turned on the washing machine while I'm in the shower?"

This is what you have there.

I sometimes trim those out with this one.

Or check this page out for replacement.

After zooming in on the pic...the damage definitely requires a new valve. It's definitely beyond whacked. Thank you for the reply Terry. That's some great info and I truly appreciate it. Now to figure out how to further needle my friends sensitive feelings.
