It seems that the algore crowd has finally noticed the mega-gpm multihead shower systems being installed by some of our posters. If the proposed regulation is enacted, only one shower head per shower stall would be allowed, at 2.5 gpm max. Al probably had time on his hands to work on this, since he and tipper have been on the outs. I hear he has been sleeping in the basement!

If the shower is being built with a permit there would be NO problem enforcing it, especially if it were checked AFTER the tiling was done and just before occupancy so it would not likely to be changed after the inspection.

The people with money are still going to take their flights into space, pilot massive ships for their entertainment, and the rest of us will be conserving to make sure the richest get their needs met.
I would love to see them under the same EPA requirements that we go by.

Space touring for millionaires

Allen's rocket ship, called SpaceShipOne, is expected to attempt to reach sub-orbital space. If successful, it would be the first private, manned spaceship to leave the earth's atmosphere.

The first purpose-built commercial spaceport for the personal spaceflight industry is to be constructed in New Mexico, a deal struck between the state and Virgin Galactic, the private spaceline firm created by British billionaire, Sir Richard Branson.
Details of the partnership were unveiled today in a Santa Fe, New Mexico gathering of state officials led by Governor Bill Richardson, spaceport planning officials, and leaders of Virgin Galactic, including Branson.
Richardson announced that he will work with the state legislature to secure a three year commitment for a total of $100 million for the state's share of the funding to build the world's first commercial spaceport to be built in southern New Mexico.

Current conceptual views of the spaceport, Whitehorn said, are tied to making it "the most environmentally-friendly spaceport/airport type structure that's been built." Largely to be fabricated underground, the New Mexico spaceport, for example, would use solar energy and an advanced water collection system.

There is plenty of hypocracy to go around, potable water is a little scarcer. If good water gets to be a luxury item, the rich, of all political ilks, will still be splashing it around while the rest of us pinch our noses and drink what we can get. Pick your poison.
