I am below rookie status on DIY for plumbing. I have a Mansfield 160 and it is nearly impossible to flush. I think the problem started when I used one of the 2000 Flushes with bleach. I think it hardened the flush valve seal but I might have no idea what I'm talking about. Anyways, I would like to buy a replacement flush valve seal but I have been to various hardware stores and on the Internet and all I can find is the seal for the 210/211. Am I an idiot? In order to flush the toilet I have to lift off the top of the toiet tank and release it by pulling up on the flusher. Needless to say, I am tired of this. Thanks for your help. DjM

Get rid of the chlorine in the tank; that's why you're here looking for parts.

That seal becomes angled and the tower suctions to the seal, causing lots of problems to flush, sometimes people snapping off the trip lever.

It is a 210/211 flush valve seal and it's a common repair part everywhere.

Go to mansfields website if that's not possible locally.

Make sure when you replace it that the seal free spins in the grooves, otherwise you'll be back stating it's leaking.

I've been chasing my tails for 2 days trying to find a seal that matches the 160 only to learn I had the right one all the time but wasn't installing it correctly! THANK YOU!!!!!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I typically do not leave comments, the spinning of replacement 210/211 seal trick for my 160 tank worked great. I still have a very, very slow leak but it is a solid win for how.
