Howdy,
I am looking to install a cast iron tub in my bathroom which is roughly 61" stud to stud by 7'. The door is definitely less than 30" more like 24". The red rectangle represents the tub. I am curious to know if anyone has any good tips to lay this tub down into place.
Along with that I hear many people setting the tub in cement or mortar? Is this necessary? I will install a ledger on the back wall for the tub lip to sit on. The sub floor is plywood which sits on the floor joists (2"x6") which run in the direction of the red arrow.
Thanks in advance,
Joe
