Can you turn the service stops off and remove the thermostatic cartridge? With exceptions the majority of rough chrome valves are imported. Measurements are extremly helpful.

If you're in a condo and especially if you're on an upper floor. Be Very Careful with water! Make sure you can turn off the water supply to your unit before doing anything to the frozen up service stops... If they leak, you want to be able to quickly deal with it.

Hey guys,

Sorry about the delay. I was able to get this apart. The smaller one(Blue end) I think is a pressure valve?

I don't know your valve, but I wonder if the text could give useful info. Actually I am not sure that there is actual text on the right, but you might be able to tell after cleaning or moistening that end.

looks like I won the lottery as the worst design and least available . Anyone know where I can get a trim kit for this that is reasonable?

Have you called Kohler? I am not a pro.

If Kohler doesn't have some solution available, I've had good luck finding weird old trim on Ebay.

I've spoken to Kohler and they have no trim left for this valve. "Discontinued Kohler" on Ebay has some white trim sets left.

Thanks for the help. I reached out to the ebay seller and for the color(White doesn't work) and price it might be better to just replace. Just my luck

Before you dive into a remodel. You might look into having that new white fixture chromed. I've had to change the finish on a number of fixtres from Polished Brass to actual Gold plating. Just 1 option that may save you from opening walls.
