I am trying to remove the hose connector on a Kohler kitchen faucet. The connector is white plastic (part # 1104495). I can remove the hose from the bottom - in fact I replaced the hose with a new one, but it still leaks. When I tried removing the connector from the copper pipe from the valve, the tabs broke off when I tried to lift the collar. Is there another way to remove it or should I just cut the copper tubing above the connector?

Thanks,
Gary

Don’t cut the copper. I’m not sure which one you are referring to, whether it be the John guest type fitting or the one with the two wing tabs. I’m pretty sure it’s the latter.

You should still be able to push with a small flathead still. I’ve had this happen and it’s frustrating. The leak it from around the o-rings where the hose pushes on and need to be replaced, if I’m understanding correctly.

Edit: reason not to cut the copper is this: it has o-rings if I’m thinking of the same one.
