Hello again,

Any ideas on driving these nails in my copper pipe strap? Maybe I should just switch to screws instead, but the rest of the home, these straps are affixed with nails. Not enough room to get a good hit with the hammer.

Suppress your OCD. Use screws if those are accessible. Remember a hole at the middle of a joist reduces strength a lot less than one near an edge. Your image did not work for us.

I would forget the copper pipe straps and use plastic coated pipe hooks.
