Handles turning the wrong direction?

I just had a Delta Mandara faucet installed (4" centerset) and the handles seem to be turning in the wrong direction. For example, the cold handle on the right is stopped at the 3 o'clock position, but instead of turning on by turning it clockwise to the 6 o'clock position, you need to push it away, counterclockwise to the 12 position. Hot is vice versa. Is there a way to correct this? The Delta site or the documentation don't cover this.

It sounds like you have the handles installed on the wrong sides. Inside, there's either an H or a C...make sure the hot is on the left and cold is on the right. THe cam inside determines the rotation. See figure 2 in the installation instructions.

It's nice when it's easy! But, they do write the manuals for a reason...easier to do it right the first time!
