I just recently completed a remodel of my kitchen. I am hearing water hammer symptoms when using the kitchen faucet. Can I install water hammer arrestors outside my wall at the between the supply and the shut off valves, or will that not work as intended? The supply lines that I hear the noise by have cabinets with granite in front of them and I’d like to fix this without opening the wall, if possible.

Any help you can provide is much appreciated! Thanks!

Water hammer is a single bang when you stop water flow suddenly. Is that what you have, or something else?

It goes at your stop valve in series with the flex line going to the faucet.

Reach4,

Thank you so much! I’ll try that. I appreciate the quick resolution.
