Does a booster pump need to be installed close to the storage tank?

I’m planning on installing a water storage system on our well. Our well head is in our front yard, our pressure tank, pressure switch, etc are about 75 feet away right next to the house. The only place to install a 3,000 gallon storage tank is in our field, approximently 200 feet away from the well head (HOA policy that it can’t be seen from the street). Can I install the booster pump next to the pressure tanks? It’ll be about 125 feet away from the storage tank (all flat ground). Or does it have to be close to the storage tank itself? Thank you!

The closer to the storage tank the better. But as long as the pipe is large enough you can draw water a long ways from the storage tank to the pump.
