I'm installing a Fleck 5600 SXT softener. Originally I was going to use an 1" x 18" stainless flex tub. However, it is super long and I would like a more compact installation. I'm thinking hard copper for all or the majority of the run would be better. I have the 1" male noryl fitting coming off the back of the softener. Should I use a short run of PEX, Sharkbite to copper, or a copper female adapter with union? Or is there a better way?
