Hello. Where in or near Binghamton, NY can my sister, or a plumber, buy a new, not new old stock, Bock oil-fired water heater, 32 gal., low boy to replace the same model from the 1970s or 80s? Where is the local Bock distributor?

It's on its last legs. The local plumbers and fuel oil companies don't stock them and aren't familiar with them. One said they are hard to find. They use oil fired Bradford White. Perhaps others. One plumbing/heating company said he could get a TFI Everhot Therma Flow water heater and install it for around $4000! Yikes, not affordable for people who live in rural New York State villages! Don't know if they come in a lower height like the Bock. Does anyone know if they do?

The hot water heater will be installed in the cellar of a house that's 150 years old. The house uses oil for heating, no natural gas available. One person household, conservative with water use and heat.

:) Thank you.
Beth W.

PS I have a thread about searching for a plumber on the Water Softener Forum. It would be great to find a plumber for both the water treatment system and the hot water heater so he can plan the layout and installation of the equipment, piping, venting, grounding ,etc.

Found a Bock distributor for New York State. Will have a plumber or heating contractor order one and install it after we get the water treatment system in place. This information may help others who are looking.
