Asian? European? hose fitting

I've searched and searched, with absolutely no joy...

A friend picked up this hose bibb fixture in Nepal, and wants to know if I can find an adapter so it will fit our US hoses.

The hose threads seem to measure @20 mm (or half inch hose?), but I could find nothing that comes in that size fitting.

Also, searching for that quick-connect fitting, I could find no similar images.

I'd just as soon get rid of the quick-connect adapter if I can find a hose fitting adapter.
Does anyone here know anything about Asian garden hose fittings?

(It's a pretty cool hose bibb!)

Our plumbing codes require a vacuum breaker for outside hoses to prevent the spread of disease. It's one reason we can drink water out of a tap. Unlike much of Asia.
