Hello All,

I was having a problem with my water turning on and off and I changed my well pressure switch and still had an issue. I found that my break kept tripping and went out to my well to find the wires fried (see attached picture). Any idea on the type of wires I need? I have a submersible well but that’s the only thing I know about it.

Did the breaker trip between episodes of having water, or once the breaker started tripping, you did not get intervals of water?

I suspect the problem was a bad connection that generated heat. That melted insulation, and wires shorted. Depending on what is going on, you may not need new wires, but better splicing.

Is the well under that pull box, or is it at the top of your photo?
