We often need to pump out water over 10 feet wall to garden hose drainage. Prefer no priming is needed. Keep within few hours or half day. Typically around 500 gallons. We have access to electric outlet. What type of electric pump do we need. Any recommendations? Thank you.

Pump must be Self-Priming? Should we look at 300 GPH pump or more?
We can raise the pump with wheelbarrow & crate for around 4 ft. to the bottom of 10' wall.
Prefer not to submerge any electric cable into water over the wall. This is temporory clean up of excess rain & run off water.
What kind of pump we should look at?
Thanks.

"Prefer not to submerge any electric cable into water over the wall. " Your statement seems unclear. Is "over the wall" where the standing water is? How deep is this standing water?

If you are looking for something to pull standing water from the surface of a patio, that would call for a "utility pump". Those are able to pull water from close to a surface.

Submersibles in the water can be safer than non-submersible electric pumps that are close to the water. Use a GFCI circuit.

Self-priming pumps that are not submersible can lose prime and air-lock is certain conditions.

Trash pumps can handle dirt and debris but their a submersible pump with a gfi protected power they can be roped up and down with no strain on cord. Unless theres a sump pit where the water stands pumps will leave at least 3/4 water.

Typically, we have around 500 gallons to pump out, from 10 ft low. Submersible pump may be better for this job (self priming is critical).

Those pumps are junk. Just like most things on Amazon. Find a pump anywhere but Amazon!!!!!!!

Still think a little submersible effluent or sewage pump would be best.

Planning to get this pump. Only concern is the priming.

We plan to use this suction pool sweeper vacuum cleaner. Do you think this pump can operate this pool sweeper / vacuum?
