Hey Cary. As you can see online at www.WellHose.com we limit the installation depths based on the diameter. It is easier for users to simply know the maximum depth setting they can set their pump at. For example, the 1.25" WellHose can be installed down to 300ft in a continuous length. In fact, the 1.25" WellHose has a 700psi pressure and a 2,000lb tensile strength. FYI, we have another product called Boreline that can be installed down to 1,000ft in a continuous length ! That has a 900psi burst and 3,700lb tensile. Cheers

So what is everybody thoughts on setting a 25GS30 3HP at 250` with the 1.25 Well hose and a CSV? Would I still need a control box? Anything else I am not thinking about?

A 25GS30 can build 200 PSI before the CSV, which is fine with a CSV1A-3. You need the -3 for a 3 GPM minimum bypass to properly cool a 3HP motor. I would use at least a 44 gallon size pressure tank, and 3HP pump require a control box. Deluxe box would be best.

I am with the people (#1) on this one.

In any case, put a flow inducer sleeve on the pump.
